How does Khabir answer from your files? A plain-language guide

When you hear “AI that answers your customers”, the first sensible question is: where do the answers come from? This article explains the mechanism in plain business language, because understanding it protects you from the biggest risk of these tools: invented answers.

The problem: a smart model on its own improvises

General AI models know a lot about the world and nothing about your company — your prices, your return policy, your new product’s specs. Ask them anyway and they may answer with complete confidence… and be completely wrong. In customer service, one wrong answer about price or warranty costs more than no answer at all.

The solution: constrain answers to your knowledge

Khabir’s approach works in three simple steps:

  1. You upload your files — product guides, price lists, FAQs, policies; ordinary PDF or Word documents.
  2. The system indexes them — it splits the content into passages and converts them into a numeric form that can be searched by meaning, not just exact words. “When do you open?” finds the “working hours” paragraph even when the wording differs.
  3. It answers only from the relevant passages — for every question, the system searches your knowledge, picks the best-matching passages, and asks the model to compose an answer from those and nothing else.

Most importantly: when your files don’t contain the answer, the assistant tells the visitor plainly that it doesn’t have that information — and the question appears in your dashboard under “unanswered questions”.

Why this matters to you as a business owner

  • Accuracy you control: answers reflect your files. Update the file, and the answers update.
  • A ready-made to-do list: the questions the assistant couldn’t answer tell you exactly which content your website is missing.
  • Clearer privacy: your knowledge is used to answer your customers — it isn’t generic training material.

Start with just three files

You don’t need a full archive to begin. A price list, an FAQ, and a policies document — those three usually cover more than half of what visitors ask. Upload them in the Khabir dashboard, paste the one-line embed code into your website, and watch the first conversation arrive.
